Do copywriting guides teach hyping?

Have you ever asked yourself why the Internet marketing field has gone too far in hyping? I have always been looking for good products that deliver. You know what I mean? Just good ones, that tell you the whole truth of what to expect and get. But it is very hard to find such products, not because there are none but because it is hard to know who tells the truth. You have to have a very sharp mind to get the gold among the mud. I blame the copywriters; whose only purpose is to sell you a product. I assume they need a good guide to copywriting

I usually go to Clickbank.com either to promote or buy a product. I love the ease of transactions there. I love the way Clickbank handles refunds and other support questions. But there are some guys that think they are the “Gurus” of ad copywriting. I can see they are so smart in telling half the truth, in making you believe, in pressing the right buttons in the buyer, but would the person buying the product get what is promised? The ad copies you get in many sales pitches goes like this;

Nursing your wound

They start out by sympathizing with you for being scammed by the so called “Gurus”. They say that they have been there and know how you feel being ripped off. Well this is the nursing phase. When you hear this from someone, your normal response will be “Oh yeah! I got someone that understands my hurt”. Don’t fall for this please, it is the ad copywriters' manual that tells them to do just that. Hope every copywriter has his own guide.

Flash of light from above

The copywriters on a sales page then tells you that someday somehow they just were struck by “Light from above” that revealed the best kept secret to make money on the Internet. They just discovered the jackpot. Well let me ask you a question, you are going down street someday and you discovered a huge pile of gold somewhere in a pit. What would be your normal response then? To go out and tell everybody that you got a gold stash? Or shut your mouth and try to hide the information from everyone? 100% certain that we all will hide the discovery. The opposite is happening on the Internet. Copywriters say they discovered a system that can make money like a crazy ATM and they are telling the whole world about it. they sell that secret for $37. If you try to click away, they scream and plead with you and say “Don’t go away please, I will give you a discount”. If I ever get a system that can make me huge amount of money with little effort, I wouldn't tell the secret to anyone. I think the best guide to copywriting wouldn't give such instruction.

Income proof

Oh don’t get me started here. I once saw a promo video where the guy brags about his daily Clickbank income showing it “live”. the main purpose of the video seems to be make you feel so bad about your Internet marketing efforts. Here you are toiling the whole day and night without earning a single dime and there is a guy that makes six figures in a day, with 20 minutes of work. I wouldn't say it is impossible, it is rather deceptive. We all know that there are lots of learning curves and frustrations out there. Lots of newbies have been trapped by this snare. They see the income proof and say “Wow! I will buy this product”. It is the lame copywriting guide that created all this mess. I suppose the product owner usually doesn't get involved in the ad copy. He/She will get a product and ask a copywriter to come up with the best sales copy. Do they have a magic or spell to make people buy the product? I feel they have. I may have one of the dumbest products in my hand and i am certain that these copywriters may get it sold if i ask them to come up with a sales copy. Time to get the best guide to copywriting guys.
